Making Sustainability Entertaining:
Coca-Cola’s PlantBottle Campaign

How do you make sustainable packaging fun, engaging, and unforgettable? That was the creative challenge presented by Coca-Cola’s PlantBottle™ Packaging team, and we rose to meet it with a fresh blend of humor, interactivity, and insight.

Tasked with turning a complex sustainability message into a consumer-friendly experience, we drew inspiration from satirical news segments, quirky public service announcements (PSAs), and even Saturday morning cartoon-style sing-alongs. The goal: educate consumers on Coke’s revolutionary PlantBottle™ technology—the world’s first fully recyclable PET plastic bottle made partially from plants—without sounding like a science lecture.

Working with Atlanta-based Sagepath, we developed an immersive, interactive brand experience that made environmental impact feel personal and empowering. Consumers were shown the tangible effect of choosing a PlantBottle Coke—translating each purchase into measurable, real-world sustainability gains. Whether through clever motion graphics, playful voiceovers, or touchable digital elements, the experience brought sustainability to life in a way that was both educational and entertaining.

The campaign didn’t just raise awareness—it shifted perception. By fusing eco-conscious innovation with bold storytelling, we helped position Coca-Cola not just as a beverage giant but as a global leader in sustainable packaging.
